Overview Game Day Scout is a skill-based contest designed for basketball fans to test their player evaluation skills against a panel consisting of Sports EyeQ Analysts and guest panelists. Participants will evaluate the same assigned player in the designated Game of the Week, known as On The Clock.

How to Participate

Evaluate: Each week, rate the assigned prospects from each team in the scheduled Game Day Scout games using our proprietary evaluation module created for basketball coaches at all levels.

Player Availability and Alternative Assignment

Primary Player Assignment:
Each game will feature a designated "Player On The Clock" for evaluation. Participants are responsible for evaluating this primary player as part of the contest.

Alternative Player Assignment:
If the primary Player On The Clock is unavailable (e.g., due to injury, illness, or non-participation), Sports EyeQ will assign an alternative player for evaluation. Participants will be notified of this change via the Sports EyeQ platform or email before the game's scheduled start time, when possible.

Game Forfeiture:
In the event that both the primary and alternative players are unavailable for the game, Sports EyeQ reserves the right to declare the game forfeited. In such cases:

• All participants will automatically be moved to the next scheduled game, regardless of whether it is a men's or women's game.

• No scores or rankings will be recorded for the forfeited game.

• Any prizes or rewards associated with the forfeited game will be voided, and participants' eligibility for future prizes will not be affected.

Sports EyeQ is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control that may render a player unavailable for a game, including but not limited to injuries, team decisions, or unforeseen cancellations. Sports EyeQ makes every reasonable effort to ensure participants have a fair and competitive opportunity to engage with the contest but does not guarantee the availability of any specific player or game.

Participants agree to abide by these terms and acknowledge that Sports EyeQ’s decision to forfeit a game, assign an alternative player, or move participants to the next scheduled game is final and binding. By participating, you release Sports EyeQ, LLC, its affiliates, and partners from any liability related to player availability or game cancellations.

Submission Deadline: Evaluations must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM EST on the second day following the game. For example, if the game begins on Sunday at 8 PM, entries are due by 11:59 PM on Tuesday.

Compare: Your ratings will be compared to the composite scores of the Sports EyeQ Analysts and any guest evaluators.

Rank: Scores are calculated based on the absolute value of the difference between your evaluation score and the composite score for each prospect. Rankings are revealed on the leaderboard the day after the submission deadline.

Scoring

Composite Score: The composite score is the average rating provided by the Sports EyeQ Analysts for each prospect. This score will be available by 8:30 PM EST on the day after the submission deadline.

Plus-Minus Score: The plus-minus score is the absolute value of the difference between your evaluation score and the composite score for each prospect.

Leaderboard: Rankings are based on the lowest cumulative plus-minus score relative to the composite scores, with priority given to those closest to zero. Each game will have its own leaderboard, with no cumulative overall leaderboard for the contest period.

Viewing Responsibilities

Game Viewing: Contestants are responsible for ensuring they have access to view the assigned Game of the Week. Sports EyeQ does not provide access or viewership to any games.

Evaluation Submission: Failure to submit evaluations for assigned players results in a score of zero for that player’s evaluation categories and affects the overall scoring. If a player does not participate in the game, no penalty applies to the contestant's composite score.

Negligence: Sports EyeQ is not liable for contestant negligence, including missing a player’s participation in a game.

Playing Time: Sports EyeQ does not guarantee that assigned players will play for any specific amount of time. Game tracking websites will be used to confirm minutes played, and Sports EyeQ's decision regarding acceptable playing time is final. Contestants must evaluate assigned players that have entered the game.

Additional Guidelines

Evaluation Module: The Sports EyeQ evaluation module focuses on subjective player evaluation criteria as entered by the participant and does not incorporate recorded game stats (e.g., points, assists, rebounds).

Schedule: Contestants agree to abide by the schedule of games set by Sports EyeQ.

Leaderboard Rankings: Contestants’ rankings are displayed on a per-game basis, with a new leaderboard created for each game.

Winners To keep the contest competitive and engaging, Sports EyeQ recognizes top performers for each game.

Prizes After each scheduled game, participants have the opportunity to win a prize valued up to $50 for each game on the Game Day Scout Schedule. Prizes are selected and distributed at the sole discretion of Sports EyeQ and may vary in type, including but not limited to sports gear, memorabilia, tickets, or exclusive experiences.

Winners are determined based on their plus-minus score for the game in which the contestant participates, with the winner from each game receiving a prize valued up to the prize pool for that game. Sports EyeQ reserves the right to modify the prize if a corporate sponsor provides additional support for a new prize of equal or greater value. Any changes will be announced before the contest’s conclusion and will not disadvantage participants.

How to Win: Contestants with the lowest cumulative plus-minus score for each game are crowned the winner of that game. Scores reset at the start of each game, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to win. Winners are announced after all scores have been finalized.

Eligibility for Prizes: When prizes are available, participants must evaluate the assigned players in the currently scheduled game to qualify. Failure to submit evaluations for even one game disqualifies contestants from winning that prize.

Taxes: Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on any prizes won and must submit an IRS Form W-9 if required. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, including those required by their country of residence.

Legal Terms

Eligibility: Open to all college basketball fans who are at least 18 years old.

Fair Play: Cheating, score manipulation, or rule violations result in disqualification.

Privacy: Personal information is kept confidential and used only for contest-related purposes.

Rule Amendments: Sports EyeQ reserves the right to amend these rules, including prize modifications, with advance notice to participants.

Void Where Prohibited: This contest is void where prohibited by law. Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws regarding contest participation.

Terms and Conditions: By participating, contestants agree to comply with all contest rules and regulations.
